Hello, and welcome to IVR

If you’re a student of acting, a professional actor, or a teacher of acting, I hope you will find the resources you’re looking for within these pages.

IVR contains materials I use in the voice/speech/text training in both the undergraduate and graduate Acting programs at Illinois State University. The School of Theatre and Dance at Illinois State University is also the summer home of the nationally acclaimed Illinois Shakespeare Festival. As such, you will find resources useful in the study and performance of Shakespeare and other heightened texts. Or if you’re looking for a good warm up for yourself, or exercises for your students, you may find the videos and audio recordings easy to follow and downloadable to your computer or ipod.

Need a dialect for a role you’re playing? Not sure how best to take care of your voice? You’ll find these and many more resources available to you on the IVR.
